Architecture That Belongs to the Landscape — Contemporary Villa to Build, Porreres

Some houses are designed to impress. This one is designed to belong.

Created by Ladaria Arquitectos from their studio in Cala Ratjada, this villa breaks from the dominant template of the Mallorcan luxury home. No stacked volumes, no repeated pitched roofs. Instead: three interlocking rectangles in a loose L-shape, stretching horizontally across the plot, connected by covered passages and punctuated by wire-trained green pergolas that filter light without stopping it.

The pool sits apart from the main house with its own poolside annexe, a shaded porche, a bathroom, and a storage room. An independent composition of volumes within the landscape, rather than a cluster of services bolted to a corridor.

The interior keeps its promises. A 51 m² open-plan living-kitchen-dining room opens on both sides onto the pergola terrace on one side, onto an intimate private courtyard on the other. The principal suite features an 18 m² bathroom and a 20 m² walk-in wardrobe. Three further en-suite bedrooms complete the sleeping wing.

Materials are carefully chosen and honestly used: lime render facades, oversized 120×120 cm Living Ceramics flooring, dark wood joinery, hand-painted green shutters. Nothing ostentatious. A quiet, confident elegance.

The Proyecto Básico is fully approved and all urban planning requirements have been cleared. The project is ready to move into execution zero administrative risk, zero surprises. The plot spans 14,212 m² of rural land in Sa Torre, one of the most serene and unspoilt corners of the Porreres municipality.
